Guitar Notes:  Please read, sign and return!

1.                  Dates of tests / assignments, can be changed at the teachers discretion.  If you know you will be away, it is your responsibility to arrange to do the test ahead of time.  If you are absent do to illness, you will do your test on the first day back. 

2.                  Keep the test / assignment sheet to record all your marks on it.

3.                  You are expected to practise at least 15 minutes at home each night.

4.                  There is no substitute for hard work.

5.         The acoustic guitar is a very fragile instrument and should be handled with extreme care.  It should never be exposed to direct sunlight or severe temperature changes.

6.         The cases are durable, but not that sturdy.  They are not waterproof and should not be allowed to get wet.  Never sit on your guitar case.

7.                  If your teacher is not satisfied that you are handling the guitars with enough care, you will not be allowed to use the schools guitars.

8.                  You are responsible for the instrument that you are using.  As the guitars will be used by other students, never carry any personal items or books in the cases.

9.                  If you see a guitar being abused, please report it to your teacher.

know that my son/daughter has a complete list of all tests and assignments in this class. I am also aware that they are expected to practise at least 15 minutes each night. I agree to take full responsibility for any instrument they may take home to practise, and to pay for repair or replacement if damage or loss occurs.
